Hey, I'm Josh Stylianou — AKA TraiderJ.
And yes, I'm dyslexic. No, I haven't misspelled "trader." LOL
I'm a trader with AI at the core of everything I do. But it didn't start that way.
How It Started
I first got into trading and investing back in 2014 when my stepdad set me up on my first platform. I was hooked immediately — the idea that money could make money genuinely fascinated me.
And beyond the numbers, I became obsessed with something else: how human psychology drives the markets. Every price movement is a real-time expression of fear, greed, hope and desire. I found that endlessly interesting.
The Problem
Over the years I built a career in operations and leadership. Trained as a lawyer, ended up in business. Trading was always something I did around the edges of real life — mortgages, bills, a full-time job that demanded everything I had.
The frustration was constant. I knew that if I just had more time to research and analyse, I could genuinely focus. But I didn't have that time. So I'd miss opportunities, get frustrated, revenge trade, put on positions way bigger than I should have — and end up wiping out whatever gains I'd made.
That just didn't work.
So I tried following other people's signals instead. Pay someone else to do the analysis, I just execute. Simple enough, right? Wrong. I went through one underwhelming trader after another. I started to think my time as a trader was done.
Then AI Changed Everything
Over the years, I trained AI to act like me.
I trained it to analyse the way I would. I trained it to be disciplined in the way I never had time to be. I trained it to be everything I wished I could be as a trader.
Trained AI to mirror my analysis process
Learnt to code from scratch
Connected AI to live market data feeds
Built a system that texts me every morning
And it worked.
I finally had a signal I could rely on. Consistent, disciplined, built around how I actually think — without the emotional noise that used to cost me.
Why I'm Sharing It
Trading can be lonely. You put a trade on, you walk away, you wait. There's no one to talk to, no one who gets it.
